While Botox® is often used as a shorthand for any type of facial injectable and has long been considered the most common neurotoxin injections, other newer brands (Dysport® and Xeomin), are commonly used for the same purpose.
All of these brands are FDA-approved neurotoxins that are injected into the face with a very tiny needle in a quick (less than 15 minutes) procedure. There is no anesthesia required, and most clients feel minimal discomfort. Results last several months and stabilize around 14 days after the procedure. Scheduling these treatments at least a month prior to your big event is ideal.
Neurotoxins are effective at stopping facial movements to prevent and correct facial movement.
